Emacs mode for subversion
25 June 2006 @ 07:12 BST
by root

Subversion is a great version control system for doing any development work or otherwise keeping track of changes in any files you are working on. Some people even keep their whole lives in subversion.

Emacs is also a fantastic tool. It's an editor that is so powerful that I've only ever scratched the surface of what it can do. So, I thought wouldn't it be great if I could control my subversion repositories through Emacs?

Well, it's possible. Emacs's psvn mode allows full control of subversion files. It comes with Debian Sid, I'm sure it comes with other Linux distributions as well. Here's a good resource on it
