Debian Sid and that "public keys" error
4 December 2006 @ 13:22 GMT
by Paul

Some people using apt and Debian sid have been getting this error:

W: There are no public key available for the following key IDs:
A70DAF536070D3A1
W: There are no public key available for the following key IDs:
A70DAF536070D3A1
W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems

There is a solution here, but it didn't work for me. There is also a useful Wiki entry here. Interesting stuff, but it didn't contain the answer. The answer is, in fact, here.

Which basically comes down to:

apt-get install debian-archive-keyring

Thanks. Good stuff!
